First Annual Discilanti Open in the books! Here’s the recap… October 14, 2009

Around $3,000 (still don’t have exact numbers) raised for SOS Community Services!
250 in attendance throughout the day!

Ben Calhoun won the distance competition by throwing 444 feet. The winner of the two nights at the Eagle Crest Marriott hotel, which was a CTP contest, was Chris Kaufman, (aka “Murray). No one got an Ace, which was what was needed to win the 42” Toshiba Plasma television.

Official Rules and Info about the Tournament September 23, 2009
The tournament will be Random Draw Best Shot Doubles for 24 holes. This means you will be randomly assigned a partner within your division. Individual registration is $15/player. However, you can pay to pick your partner for an additional $10, making your team entry fee $40. We will play best shot.
The 3 divisions will be:
Competitive: Those who ordinarily play Pro or Advanced Am. Winner receives $200
Recreational: Those who would ordinarily play in Am-2 or Am-3. Winner receives $100
Novice: Those who have not ever competed in a tournament or who have, at most, competed in 1-2 but finished near the bottom of Am-2 or Am-3. Winner receives $50
* Women will play from amateur tees in these divisions.

Registration/Sign in begins at 12pm and runs until 2:00pm, when the actual tournament starts.
Skills Competition begins at 1:00pm, this includes the following:
Hole in 1: Winner will receive a Toshiba 42″ Plasma TV
Longest Drive: Winner will receive a free nights stay at the Ann Arbor Marriott with breakfast for 2
Closest to the Cage: Winner will receive TBA

Register your band September 9, 2009
Any bands/musicians that are interested in participating in the Discilanti Open can send us an email at email@example.com. Please include a contact name, contact info (phone and email), and either your Myspace page or a sample of your music. We’re open to all music styles,as long as it’s good, so don’t hesitate to send us your stuff!
We’ll review your submission and let you know if you’ve got what it takes!
*Please note, this is a fundraiser and everyone is donating their time and/or money to pull this event off. THIS IS A NON-PAYING GIG.
The cost per table is $30. We are also asking that you donate 1 item to our raffle or silent auction. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your company/product name, your name and contact info (phone and email). Money will be collected on the day of the event or arrangments can be made.
The bazaar will take place right outside the Throw Shop between the Cornhole Tournament, beer tent, and stage. There should be plenty of traffic and good exposure for you budding company or art work!
Space is limited so please RSVP as soon as possible!

The cost to enter your 2 man team is $40/team ($15 each plus $10 for choosing your partner). The rest of the field will be single entries for only $15 and you’ll be partnered up randomly.

You can register here via email or call and register directly with the Throw Shop at (734) 883-4407 between 2-7pm weekdays and 11-7pm weekends. You can pay by credit card over the phone or your money will be collected during registration.
Registration will take place from 12pm-2-pm on the day of the tournament. And the competitions (Hole in 1, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Cage will begin at 1:30pm)

Security-some peeps to just keep an eye on things to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time.
Waste Management-people to keep the place looking clean and sparkly.
General-volunteers to just help out where ever we need you. The registration table, checking on the artisan bazarre, answering questions discers may have, helping the bands set up/take down, etc…
